One year without the protections of Roe v. Wade

Team,

A year ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, upending nearly 50 years of protection for a person's right to privacy, choice, and reproductive freedom.

Since this dangerous ruling, women of color, rural communities, people living paycheck to paycheck, and other marginalized folks have borne the brunt of the repercussions. People have been left with no choice but to travel hundreds of miles to the nearest clinic, struggle with long wait times, and deal with financial barriers.

Team, I have always stood firm in my belief that access to reproductive health care is a fundamental right and that these deeply personal decisions should be made between a woman in consultation with their doctors. I urge you to join me in taking action today by calling on Congress to codify reproductive rights into federal law.

On our team, we say this: "Don't agonize. Organize!" Now, more than ever, we must remain vigilant and resolute in opposing any proposals that further restrict care options for women or jeopardize the health and well-being of individuals.

Across the country, Americans have passed legislation to restore and protect reproductive rights at the state level. And just this week, Ohio voters turned in over 100,000 petition signatures to put reproductive rights on the ballot!

Every day, people in Washington and across the country are making it clear that we will not go back. I will never stop fighting against these unjustified attacks on reproductive rights, and I will continue to support legislation that enshrines this essential freedom into federal law.

Add your name today to call on Congress to codify reproductive rights into federal law. Together, we can protect the rights of all Americans to make their own health care decisions, ensuring a future where autonomy and freedom prevail.

In solidarity,

Derek
