Like many around America, I was shocked and stunned at last year's Supreme Court decision to strip women of their fundamental right to choose for themselves when to start or grow their family and have access to basic reproductive health care.
Today, I'm as infuriated as ever as Republicans across the country, including my opponent Michelle Steel, want to go even further and place a total ban on abortions nationwide, even in the case of rape or incest, taking women's healthcare back decades.
Michelle Steel wants people to believe she's a different type of Republican, but she goes to DC and votes for every part of the MAGA Republicans' extreme anti-abortion agenda — even against our basic right to contraception — and women are taking notice.
I'm committed to doing everything possible at the federal level to protect, expand, and enshrine into law affordable healthcare access that ensures every woman, regardless of zip code or income, has the inalienable right to choose.
