Dear John,

It was a busy week, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting
for our conservative values.

Hunter Biden got off easy. Faced with charges of tax evasion and a potential
federal felony gun possession charge, he reached a plea-deal with federal
prosecutors that led to misdemeanor tax offenses and avoided prosecution and
likely jail time on the gun charge entirely. This is another example of the
two-tier system of justice we’ve come to expect from the administration. Due to
the hard work of my colleagues, facts are coming to light that Hunter likely
received millions of dollars in payments from foreign entities during the time
his father was vice president. House Republicans, with our vast oversight
power, will continue to do our duty to the American people and deliver the
truth. This story is far from over.

China poses an existential threat to our national security. They are building
up their military, setting up new spy stations, and, as I’m sure you’re aware,
buying American farmland. Thankfully, we are doing something about it. The
House Ways and Means Committee recently passed the Build It in America Act,
which aims to counter China's economic influence, enhance American
competitiveness, secure global supply chains, and prohibit foreign land sales
to countries of concern. I look forward to advancing this critical piece of
legislation and countering China’s aggressive behavior.

I sharply criticized Brazil's discriminatory import tariffs on U.S. ethanol.
It is deeply concerning that a tariff rate of 16% was re-imposed in February,
creating an unfair trading environment. To make matters worse, U.S. producers
have been denied approval for Brazil's biofuels program for several years,
adding to the challenges we face. That's why I joined my colleagues in writing
to U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai, urging her to address these trade
barriers promptly. We cannot allow this unfair treatment to continue, as it
adversely affects our hard working farmers and ethanol producers.

As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with.
Thank you for your continued support!

With gratitude,
