John

One year ago today, the far-right anti-abortion movement got what they had been working toward for years: the Supreme Court overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

But we all know that wasn’t the end of this fight. Now, with Republicans in states all across the country severely restricting — or outright banning — abortion care, the stakes are even higher.

More than ever, we need to codify reproductive rights into federal law and protect the right to abortion for every American. Will you add your name to the petition right now?

A few weeks ago, I heard some of the most compelling testimony I’ve ever heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee. A young woman from Texas almost lost her life when she was denied abortion care during a miscarriage. She had to be near death to get the care she needed.

The United States of America is a country founded on the idea of freedom, and yet the GOP is hellbent on taking away our most fundamental choices about our bodies, health, and families. And they don’t seem concerned about who is endangered — or loses their life — because of it.

One year after the fall of Roe v. Wade , Democrats are more committed than ever before to protecting Americans’ reproductive rights. Sign the petition now to show your support.
