John,
A year ago today, 50 years of precedent upholding the right to abortion were overturned by the Supreme Court.
In the time since, legislatures across the country moved swiftly to repeal existing protections for reproductive access, and are continuing to do so today. It is no exaggeration to say the decision to overrule Roe v. Wade has had disastrous consequences for the right to bodily autonomy, personal choice, and equitable access to healthcare.
But 50 years of precedent have not come without a fortified movement to defend reproductive rights. The repeal of Roe v. Wade has emboldened us too.
Like millions of women across the country, I am emboldened to continue the fight to secure and protect reproductive rights. In Congress, I am committed to making this a reality for this generation and those that come after.
On this one-year anniversary, I ask you to join me in showing the strength of our movement to defend reproductive rights by adding your name below.

This fight is not over. I hope you’ll join me in demanding the codification of reproductive rights.
Onward,
Valerie
