"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

– Ephesians 6:12
Africa & Europe

Pray for favor among government stakeholders with whom we aim to secure strong collaborative partnerships in Uganda. Pray that they will respond positively to our requests for meetings and our requests for them to be champions in the fight against violence in our communities. Their voices are critical to advocate for resourcing for the protection of women and children.
Latin America

Praise God for the results of two legal cases of sexual abuse of children in Bolivia. Our pro-bono legal team achieved two convictions of 13 and 25 years for the aggressors of two minors. Not only did justice prevail in these cases, but this outcome will serve as a deterrent for potential aggressors in the community. The families of the children are grateful for your support and prayers.
South Asia

Pray for health and safety for 11 young men rescued from brutal bonded labor this week. These men were trafficked far from home and forced to dig wells for at least the last six months. They endured constant violence during the day and were held in literal chains at night. Praise God for the proactive police who rescued them and arrested two suspected traffickers, and pray for their ongoing recovery in freedom.
Asia Pacific

We praise God for the just sentence handed down to an online trafficker who pleaded guilty to the online sexual exploitation of children. This individual now faces a potential prison term of up to 42 years. Regional Prosecutor Irwin Maraya stated, "Every conviction means more children are safe from the horrific crime of online sexual exploitation. Perpetrators must be made aware that the online sexual exploitation of children is a severe crime that carries severe consequences." We are grateful for each of these significant victories.

Praise God for the release of the 2023 Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report. Prepared annually by anti-trafficking experts at the U.S. State Department’s Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, this report grades 188 countries based on the effectiveness of their government’s efforts to combat human trafficking. The TIP Report holds significant value for IJM as it serves as a powerful advocacy tool worldwide. We pray that God would bless the work of IJM and all anti-trafficking organizations in each of these countries.

The updates we share on survivors or their cases can become sensitive over time. To respect and protect
them,
please refrain from posting these prayer requests online.
