It’s been one year since I sent you the email below, after the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
So much has happened since that day. Dozens of abortion bans across the country. GOP efforts to enact a nationwide abortion ban. Efforts to restrict travel for reproductive care and access to the abortion pill.
We expected these kinds of rollbacks of our reproductive rights in the wake of Roe, but it doesn’t make it any easier. One year later, I am even more angry and worried.
Worried for my daughters. Worried for mothers. Worried for women across the country -- especially women of color who are disproportionately impacted by these types of restrictions.
We have to keep fighting -- for women’s autonomy, health, freedoms, and privacy. There’s simply no other option.
I’m going to keep working in Congress to codify Roe in all 50 states and to protect access to the abortion pill, birth control, and other forms of critical reproductive care.
Will you add your name to mine and show your support for restoring Roe and protecting reproductive freedom?
Thank you for all you do,
Mikie

The Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
We knew this was coming, but it is still shocking.
This decision goes against what the majority of Americans want. It threatens women’s health, safety, and economic well-being.
This is exactly the outcome anti-choice extremists wanted -- they’ve chipped away at reproductive freedom for decades and they’ve pushed hundreds of anti-choice restrictions in states across the country. Now in Roe’s absence, there are states with abortion bans that will immediately go into effect and others that will move to do the same. Justice Thomas' opinion is even more appalling -- suggesting bans on same-sex marriage and contraception.
I want to say to you now. This isn’t the end. We keep fighting -- together.
The attacks on reproductive freedom won't stop here. Mitch McConnell already confirmed that.
If you’re angry, I encourage you to get involved. Vote. March. Speak up. Donate.
And if you can, consider chipping in to our campaign. I’m fighting to make Roe the law of the land so everyone can make their own decisions about their health, bodies, and families.
