Republican extremists are making every effort to restrict the voting process between now and the next election.

It can feel like pundits are always talking about national politics — who’s running for president, the latest Supreme Court decision, and so on.

Those topics are incredibly important, but they’re not the only ones that deserve our attention. As a team, we're spending a lot of time focused on the local issues that will have a direct impact on our families and communities. And many of these issues will be on the ballot in the municipal elections this year, and in next year’s election cycle.

The next time you fill out your ballot, you and your neighbors have a say in the makeup of your school board, the budget of your police department, the parks department’s maintenance of your child’s playground, or which district attorney is enforcing your community’s laws. We each have a say in electing representatives who we believe in, and who we know will bring about positive change in our communities.

So our team wants to know: What are the issues that are most important to you in Washington? Take this quick survey.

Extremist lawmakers have historically threatened our freedom to help determine the direction of our communities, by making voting less and less accessible — especially for Black and brown folks. Fair Fight Action wants to change that by partnering with other organizations on the ground to mobilize, educate, and protect every person’s right to vote. Together, we can make elections free and fair so that everyone has a voice in their community, their state, and their country.

Thank you for your support in this fight,

The Fair Fight Action Team
