Today marks one year since the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization - the case that overturned Roe v. Wade and sent the issue of abortion to the states.

According to NBC News, “6-in-10 voters remain opposed to the court removing the national right to abortion.” Yet despite this, abortion rights have been under assault across the nation since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

Thankfully, in Virginia, abortion is still protected – for now. And that is no thanks to conservative legislators in the state who attempted to pass several extreme bans this past session, including a personhood bill. Or to Governor Youngkin, who is itching to sign an abortion bill into law.

Tuesday’s election proved once again that when abortion is on the ballot, voters turn out. But we are still only 2 votes away from an abortion ban in Virginia. Help us elect a pro abortion-rights majority so we can protect abortion access in Virginia by donating $24 now.

An abortion ban in Virginia would leave 8.5 million people without the freedom to control their own lives. It would also have consequences far beyond our borders: A ban in Virginia would eliminate a crucial mid-Atlantic haven for thousands of patients currently traveling to the Commonwealth for care, including from neighboring states of Tennessee, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

A majority of Virginians want abortion to remain protected and accessible. It’s up to us to make sure that happens.
