A year ago today, an ultra-conservative Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, a 50-year precedent that protected millions of Americans' right to an abortion.

If we weren't fighting an uphill battle before Roe was overturned, we are definitely fighting one now. Extremist politicians across the country are introducing new restrictions and blocking any laws attempting to put reproductive freedom back into the hands of Americans.

Listen, Roe was the floor, not the ceiling. Even before Roe, people of color and other marginalized groups struggled to access abortion care.

The reality is, we will never expand abortion access if we don’t have pro-choice champions in Congress. I have always – and will always – fight for safe and legal abortion access:
