In the year since the Supreme Court's extreme and regressive Dobbs v. Jackson decision, we've seen reproductive rights attacked from all sides at the state and national level.

The very moment constitutional protection for abortion was reversed, "trigger" laws went into effect and nine states banned abortion. One year later, abortion is now completely illegal in 13 states. And in several other states, abortion is highly inaccessible because of pending court rulings and other state-level restrictive laws and measures.

These draconian, un-scientific, and dangerous restrictions disproportionately impact Black, Latino, Indigenous communities, people with disabilities, people in rural areas, young people, immigrants, and those having difficulty making ends meet. Reproductive justice is racial and economic justice, too.

But I won't stand idly by. This is our fight. And I will continue using my voice in Congress to fight for every single Philadelphian, Pennsylvanian, and American to have the right to make their own personal health care decisions.

Right-wing zealots, uncompromising in their oppressive views of women's bodies, won't stop at abortion. They have their sights set on gender-affirming care, same-sex marriage rights, contraception, sexual education, and the wheels of democracy that hold our nation together.
