Powering a Nature Positive Future: Liberal Values for Climate and Biodiversity
Lord Teverson, a clean energy investor, former MEP and a Liberal Democrat Lords spokesperson on Energy and Climate Change, will be reviewing UK's current environmental policies on energy, climate and nature to outline the changes needed for a net zero in a nature positive framework.
Lord Teverson will be discussing ways to strike the right balance between realising our climate goals and legal requirements whilst also achieving national energy security, while being compassionate and fair to bill payers throughout the cost of living crisis and beyond, making the case for the roles of government, private sector and technology.

Biography
An economist by training, Robin started his career in the freight industry. After 15 years he changed careers to become a Member of the European Parliament where he specialised in fisheries and regional issues – themes that he has continued to pursue in his public life.
After leaving the European Parliament, he led two regional venture capital funds in the South West, and has more recently served for four years as a member of Cornwall Council. He was a member of the newly formed Cornwall and Scilly Local Enterprise Partnership.
He is currently a director with Devon and Cornwall Business Council, and a trustee of Regen SW. Since 2006, he has been a member of the House of Lords where he speaks on energy and climate change. He lives in Cornwall and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment.
