Hi John,

Tomorrow marks two years since a gunman opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. Armed with an assault rifle and 300 rounds of ammunition, he killed 17 students and staff and injured 17 others in just a matter of minutes.

We are working tirelessly to pass reasonable, evidence-based gun safety policies to prevent another senseless tragedy like Parkland. That’s why we are organizing countless volunteers to swarm the Washington State Capitol tomorrow to urge lawmakers to restrict access to high-capacity magazines and pass other commonsense gun violence prevention measures.

But our opposition is more fired up than ever. Gun rights extremists have shown up to the capitol openly carrying assault-style rifles and calling for resistance against a “tyrannical” government.

We can’t let them win. Can you give $5 today to support our fight to pass lifesaving gun violence prevention measures and prevent another Parkland?

Thanks for standing with us,
Renée
