Rep. Troy E. Nehls Votes 'YES' to Censure Rep. Adam Schiff Greetings! I wanted to take a moment to share with you a recap on what happened last week in Texas' 22nd District and the United States House of Representatives. This Week in Washington Rep. Troy E. Nehls Questions John Durham at House Judiciary Committee Hearing This week, the House Judiciary Committee held a hearing to highlight the report of Special Counsel John Durham that revealed the origins and justifications of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Crossfire Hurricane investigation against then-presidential candidate Donald Trump. The FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane on July 31, 2016, to determine if the Trump campaign was colluding with Russia. The Special Counsel’s 306-page report proves that the FBI’s investigation was entirely unwarranted. The Durham Report revealed that the FBI did not have an adequate basis to launch Crossfire Hurricane, failed to examine all available exculpatory evidence, pushed the investigation without credible evidence, abused its Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) authorities, and did not interview key witnesses in Crossfire Hurricane. During the hearing, I discussed how FBI officials opened Crossfire Hurricane without any credible evidence. In the report, I discovered the same officials who had opened the investigation had pronounced hostile feelings toward President Trump several times prior to opening the investigation. I also discussed the ridiculous allegations made by Democrats, including that President Trump had attended a business conference at the Ritz-Carlton Moscow in 2016, which was allegedly the site of “salacious sexual conduct on the part of Trump.” This absurd claim was nothing but an attempt to destroy President Trump’s character five months before the 2016 election and keep him out of office. Watch my remarks from the hearing HERE. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Votes 'YES' to Censure Rep. Adam Schiff This week, House Republicans voted to censure Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) and referred him to ethics for an investigation for unlawfully abusing the American people's trust and exploiting his position as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. Congressman Schiff has continuously lied to the American people and abused his authority to advance the Russia collusion hoax. For over five years, Congressman Schiff has pushed a false narrative to try to destroy President Donald J. Trump. Adam Schiff is a national disgrace, and I am proud to join my House Republican colleagues to hold him accountable and bring integrity back to the U.S. House of Representatives. Rep. Troy E. Nehls Welcomes India's Prime Minister to Joint Meeting of Congress Photo Courtesy Of: Roll Call I was proud to welcome the 14th Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, to the U.S. Capitol for a joint meeting of Congress. Admission to a service academy is a two-tiered process. First, the candidate must meet the minimum standards set by the individual academy.
