Disinformation sells for Fox "News," and you are likely paying for it with your cable subscription as part of the “news” package. Worse, Fox is trying to up its rate by nearly 50% with the major cable providers to pay for its Dominion settlement.(1) Our coalition has driven more than 260,000 letters to cable news providers asking them to deplatform Fox. Will you help us keep the pressure on?
Fox “News” was just hit with a mind boggling $787.5 million settlement due to its rabid disinformation about Dominion Voting Services and the 2020 election.(2) But instead of reforming its ways, Fox has doubled down. The network is continuing to lie about the election, Covid, the transgender community, and gun laws. And with the 2024 election ramping up, we now see Fox is calling the president a “wannabe dictator”? Holy cow. The producer behind that headline was fired only after public backlash, and the rest of the team responsible is still in place. Fox isn't a "news" channel, full stop. Most cable subscribers, including Comcast and Charter, are renewing their contracts with Fox this year, and if Fox gets its way, it will earn $1.8 billion from subscribers against their will.(3) We need to convince cable providers to stop forcing Fox on us before that happens.
