The Biden Admin's Backwards Diplomacy

The Biden administration consistently demonstrates weakness on the world stage, and Secretary of State Antony Blinken's trip to China this week was no exception.

As the Chinese Communist Party ramps up its aggression around the globe, the United States should be projecting strength. Instead, Secretary Blinken and the State Department have made enormous concessions to China in recent months. They stopped export controls and removed sanctions for human rights violations just to secure meetings with CCP officials.

Unsurprisingly, this kind of backwards diplomacy yielded no real results. I joined Harris Faulkner live on Fox News this week to give my full reaction to the Biden administration's China response.

A Great Time with the Austin Chamber

Last month, I had a fantastic time showing the Bryan-College Station Chamber of Commerce around D.C., and this week, I was thrilled to welcome the Austin Chamber of Commerce! During these visits, chamber members learn about what I’m working on in Washington — from pushing back on the aggression of the Chinese Communist Party to reimbursing Texas for its border security operations. And I learn more about the needs back home.

Austin is a vibrant hub for business and commerce, and my CHIPS for America Act will spur even more technological innovation and advancement at the The University of Texas at Austin and beyond. I'm proud to call Austin home and will continue working to ensure businesses across Texas-10 can thrive!

Putting Students First

School buildings should be used to educate students — not to shelter illegal immigrants on taxpayers' dime. But sanctuary cities like NYC have taken away resources from schoolchildren for exactly that purpose.

This week, I voted with House Republicans to condemn the use of school facilities as housing centers for illegal immigrants. Schools must always uphold their responsibility to teach children and to keep them safe.
