Tomorrow marks a solemn anniversary in our country. On June 24th of last year, the Supreme Court officially overturned Roe v. Wade -- throwing abortion access into crisis and slashing women’s rights in an instant.

As a father, it’s disturbing to think that my daughter now has less rights than my wife or even my mom did decades ago. And it’s unacceptable that a woman’s right to control their own body now depends on their zip code.

Even more disturbing is my opponent, Rep. Mike Garcia, and his blatant hypocrisy on the issue:

When Roe was first overturned, Garcia dismissed Californians' fears and claimed that we “will continue to live under the same laws and access to abortion.”

Then last week, Garcia voted to advance a nationwide restriction on mifepristone -- a safe and widely-used abortion medication. It was buried deep in a committee bill and he hoped no one would notice.

We noticed, John, and this is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Garcia. He says one thing publicly, but when push comes to shove, he votes with the most extreme wing of his party. It’s unacceptable, and he needs to be held accountable.

The blunt truth is that our ability to restore reproductive rights could come down to what happens right here in CA-27. Rep. Garcia is the last remaining House Republican in Los Angeles County, and flipping this seat puts us on track to win back the House. But it all depends on your support:
