Hey John,

Yesterday, voters across Fairfax County made their voices heard – and we won! We have secured the Democratic nomination for Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney. 

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who came out to support my re-election campaign. Your support means the world to me, and we could not have done this without each and every one of you.

We have accomplished a lot since my first day in office. I am honored that the people of Fairfax County have elected to continue to build a justice system that works for everyone in our community - not just the bail bondsmen, the courthouse establishment, or those more interested in pushing papers than pursuing justice.

It hasn't been easy. We've gotten immense pushback from our state's Attorney General, the old guard, and even the Fairfax County GOP who tried desperately to undermine our Democratic Primary.

But today, I'd like to focus on thanking my amazing team, my supporters, my volunteers, and every single grassroots donor who has powered this campaign. I'd also like to thank my opponent, Ed Nuttall, for getting on the ballot and allowing us to have a referendum on the future of justice reform in Fairfax.

The people have spoken, and I’m excited to continue fighting for our values and building a better justice system that builds long-term safety.
