MESSAGE YOUR MEMBERS OF CONGRESS, even if you have done so before!
Taxpayer, I have good news... and bad news.
I'll start with the good news:
"F.D.A. joins the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Veterans Affairs
in adopting a lab animal retirement policy." – Smithsonian Magazine
THIS IS BIG: Taxpayer, because you took action, the Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) just enacted its first-ever policy allowing for retirement of lab survivors!
Now, the bad news:
The pro-animal testing lobby is doubling down to destroy our momentum.
First the VA. Then the NIH. And now the FDA. We're a massive threat to business as usual!
So greedy White Coats are lobbying harder than ever to ensure these retirement policies don't make
their way to other federal animal testing bureaucracies like the EPA and USDA.
They want government lab survivors to be killed or "recycled" as furry test tubes in new experiments... because it means even more of YOUR tax
money in their pockets.
Taxpayer, we have to fight fire with fire.
PLEASE CONTACT CONGRESS RIGHT NOW, even if you have
multiple times before!
As a taxpayer and your constituent, I, Taxpayer, am urging you to cosponsor the bipartisan Animal Freedom from Testing,
Experiments and Research (AFTER) Act (HR 2897/S 2322) to stop the wasteful killing of healthy dogs, cats and other animals no longer needed for
experiments in federal laboratories.
|
Last year, you rallied the House and Senate to introduce Violet's Law (aka the A.F.T.E.R. Act).
If passed, it would retire and adopt out lab survivors to loving homes... across the entire federal
government!
Let's get this done,
Justin Goodman
Vice President

To stop
taxpayer-funded animal tests, we must first stop the $15 billion+ in wasteful government spending.
We find, expose, and de-fund wasteful government
spending on animal experiments. To change public policy, we unite liberty lovers and animal lovers with hard-hitting investigations and public policy
campaigns.
