Tonight, we’ll review our list of June donors to see if we’re on track for our second Federal Election Commission end-of-quarter fundraising deadline at the end of the month.

I’m always proud of our FEC reports and what they say about our campaign — not only how much we’ve raised but, more importantly, how many folks are with us in defending and restoring reproductive rights, expanding affordable health care, ensuring working families can take care of their loved ones with the security of family or medical leave and so much more.

But to be honest, these deadlines make me a little nervous, too. You see, this is a close-up look at our team’s strength as we build our resources to take on extremism and safeguard our democracy.

Everyone from Illinois voters to the media to our Republican opponents and national Republicans will be watching to see if we have what it takes to win the next election and make history again.

That’s why it’s critical that we hit our goals, but my team just let me know that we’re still 416 contributions short of our end-of-quarter target, and it’s important to me that we close the gap before midnight.
