Hi there,

Tomorrow will mark one year since the Supreme Court effectively overturned Roe v. Wade and kicked off a dangerous and troubling new era for women in our country.

As you may remember, last summer, the Supreme Court ruled on Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization – a decision made in response to a lower court ruling on Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban. We’re emailing today because the person responsible for this historic and destructive ruling was Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch, who pushed relentlessly for her state’s case to be heard and even authored the Supreme Court brief against Jackson Women’s Health Organization.

Each state's politics matter – and can impact other states beyond their borders.

Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch has deliberately used her platform to strip life-saving reproductive healthcare away from millions of women nationwide. We are enthusiastically endorsing her Democratic opponent: Greta Kemp Martin.

As we mark this somber anniversary, will you help us defeat the woman behind the fall of Roe v. Wade and fight to replace her with a pro-choice champion by rushing $24 now? →

Greta became a lawyer to help people and make a positive difference in her home state. She currently serves as the Litigation Director for Disability Rights Mississippi, the protection and advocacy agency for the state of Mississippi. As Attorney General, she has vowed to increase abortion access, protect domestic violence victims, defend working mothers, and more. She will represent the interests of the people, not of corporate donors or far-right special interest groups.

Here is what Greta Kemp Martin has to say about the devastating impact of the Dobbs decision in her state, and the dangers of Mississippi AG Lynn Fitch continuing to hold office:

“Mississippi is in a health care crisis – the last thing our communities need is more restrictions that limit our healthcare freedoms. As Attorney General, I’m running to get this office back on track and fighting for accountability – not criminalizing women and their doctors.”

At Her Bold Move, our mission has always been to elect unapologetically pro-choice women who are committed to protecting and/or reinstating abortion rights across the country – and unseating anti-choice legislators whenever possible.

Mississippi is a true red state, and it will take a massive grassroots movement to win. However, as we saw in Virginia on Tuesday, when abortion is on the ballot, voters show up to defend their rights. Together, we can help Greta unseat Lynn Fitch. Please help us ensure Greta has the support she needs by rushing $24 immediately →
