John Katko believes that equality should have an expiration date. ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌

Dana Balter for Congress

“Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex.”

Friends, those are the words that my GOP incumbent opponent John Katko just said NO to including in the Constitution.

In a bipartisan vote, the US House of Representatives has passed a resolution removing the 1982 deadline for ratifying the Equal Rights Amendment for women. John Katko pretends to be a good guy and a moderate, but once again, he has placed himself squarely against equality and women’s rights with his vote against the resolution.

It’s past time for him to go. We can flip this swing seat once and for all this November, but first, we need to bring in 243 more donations by Saturday to meet our mid-month and mid-quarter grassroots fundraising goal. If you’re ready for new leadership for central and western New York who will stand up for what’s right and fight to ensure that every one of us has a fair shot at success, then I’m asking you to chip in $5, $10, $24, or whatever you can right now to my campaign.

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

“I hope she doesn’t run again -- she was a very tough opponent.”

That’s what John Katko said on election night after our people-powered movement nearly defeated his corporate-PAC funded campaign last time. Congressman Katko knows that the people of central and western New York are looking to hire someone for this job who’s looking to put their interests first, not the interests of anti-equality corporate backers.

We need 2.5 more points to flip this swing seat this November. But right now, we need to hit every milestone that we set, and we’re 243 donations short.

Will you step up with $5, $10, $24, or whatever you can right away so we can keep building our organizing power?

Equality shouldn’t have an expiration date,

Dana
