While I am proud to take on the serious issues every day in Washington, there are also some strictly fun parts of this job — including getting to know genuinely good people like Tim Kaine.

Right now, pundits are calling Tim Kaine a “vulnerable incumbent” and listing Virginia as a potential pick-up opportunity for the GOP. I know that together, we’ll prove them wrong. Will you make a contribution now to re-elect my good friend and keep the Senate blue?

Though we’re from different parts of the country, Tim and I have several things in common. We both love baseball (Go Cubs!). We both love good music — in fact, I have a distinct memory of watching Joe Walsh of the Eagles play guitar while Tim danced his heart out in the front row.

I also know I can count on Tim to be there when we need him on the big fights like banning assault weapons, reforming our criminal justice system, or lowering costs for working families. He’s a strong voice for Virginia in the Senate — and a crucial vote in our Democratic majority.
