Tomorrow, June 24th, is the one-year anniversary of the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization — a decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and 50 years of legal precedent that had affirmed the right to an abortion.
Tomorrow’s anniversary is a solemn day in our nation – a day that reminds us that liberty and justice for all is too often deferred, or in this case, denied to so many in states where abortion access has been severely restricted or banned altogether. Tomorrow is a reminder that we have a most sacred obligation to continue the fight to fulfill our nation’s highest ideals each and every day.
Abortion is reproductive healthcare. And access to healthcare is a human right that ought to be afforded to each and every person.
