Hello,
Since the first brick was thrown at the Stonewall Inn in June of 1969, Pride month has been a political movement.
While it is important to celebrate queer joy during this month (and every month!), it is especially important to remember the collective political power we hold as a community.
That’s why we are highlighting these three Policy Action Alerts this month:
pecially important to remember the collective political power we hold as a community.

That’s why we are highlighting these three Policy Action Alerts this month:

1. Congressional Rise Up Resolution:
The Rise Up for LGBTQI+ Youth in Schools Resolution demands equal educational opportunities, basic civil rights protections, and freedom from erasure for all students.
Tell Congress: Rise Up for LGBTQI+ Youth!

2. LGBTQIA+ and Women's History Education Act:
Yesterday, U.S. Representatives Becca Balint and Ritchie Torres reintroduced the LGBTQI+ and Women’s History Education Act, which provides resources to educators teaching inclusive history lessons.
Tell Your Representative: Help Educators Teach LGBTQI+ Inclusive History!

3. Equality Act:
On June 21, Congress reintroduced the Equality Act which would provide permanent nondiscrimination protections for LGBTQI+ people, including LGBTQI+ youth in schools.
Tell Congress: It’s Time to Pass the Equality Act!

Rise Up for LGBTQ+ youth throughout the country by filling out each one of these forms and letting our government know that we demand equality, representation, and freedom from discrimination.
We are stronger together!
Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈 🏳️‍⚧️
