As Minnesota’s chief elections officer, I’m in the democracy business. That means I make it my business to defend democracy, protect the freedom to vote, and lead with the truth.

A huge challenge this year is disinformation. That’s a polite way of saying: Lies about our election system – and about the last few elections in particular.

Those who spread disinformation about our election system claim to be motivated by election integrity. Give me a break.

Our work is far from over and I need your help before our big quarterly fundraising deadline on June 30th. We need to raise another $20k to ensure that we have the resources to fight back against disinformation. Will you please chip in $5 or more now?

Since you re-elected me in November, I have been battling disinformation routinely. It’s not going away anytime soon.

Luckily, we’ve scored some massive victories for democracy, including:

✔ Election worker protection,
✔ National Popular Vote,
✔ Automatic voter registration,
✔ Pre-registration for high school students,
✔ Anti-disinformation restrictions,
✔ Expanded access to voting on tribal lands,
✔ Restoring voting rights to 55,000 people who have left prison behind
✔ and non-partisan youth voter outreach.

We must be doing something right because national disinformation-spreaders are attacking me and our accomplishments.
