Friends,
Tomorrow marks exactly one year since Roe v. Wade was overturned.
Roe allowed women to decide what happens with their bodies for nearly 50 years. By overturning Roe, the Supreme Court erased decades of progress and endangered millions of Americans’ health, freedom, and opportunity.
But the assault on women's reproductive rights isn’t over.
State legislators across the country are pushing through dangerous abortion bans — some at the point of fertilization. Several U.S. Senators are even trying to ram through a federal ban on abortion too.
We cannot stay silent in the face of these attacks on our constitutional rights. We must pass the Women’s Health Protection Act.
It’s past time we codified equal access to abortion care in this country. Passing the Women’s Health Protection Act will help ensure every person — regardless of who they are or where they live — is free to make the best health care decisions for themselves, their families, and their lives.
Add your name to my petition now to demand the House and Senate pass the Women’s Health Protection Act without delay.
Women’s health care decisions must be left to a patient and their doctor — not politicians. I’ll keep fighting to protect a woman’s right to choose.
