John,

This Saturday will mark one year since the Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe removing the federal protection for abortion. Despite a majority of Americans supporting the right to abortion, the Court made a hurtful, hateful, and wrong decision stripping millions of their bodily autonomy.

The decision was wrong then and it’s wrong now. That’s why we’re fighting it. Donate today.

This year has seen so many of the horrors we predicted would happen with the overturn of Roe come true. Children forced to travel to receive abortion care. People forced to carry nonviable pregnancies; deliver babies they knew would die. Miscarrying people forced to wait until they got “sick enough” to get abortion care. And so many others silently having to bare pregnancies they couldn’t support emotionally, physically, or financially.

For 365 days, we’ve heard stories of people stripped of their dignity and choice. We must not only fight to get abortion access back, but push for more and better care.

This Saturday will be a hard anniversary for many. Check in with yourself, your body, and your mind and honor the day in the best way you can.

Rally. Protest. Donate. Support. Love.

Sincerely,

Shireen Shakouri
Deputy Director, Reproaction
