Friends,

This past month was full of important progress for Northwest Indiana.

From standing with the working families in our community to supporting fair wages and speaking out against the President’s inappropriate comments directed towards women of color who serve in Congress, we are fighting for a better future for our region and nation.

As we move forward into August, I am reaching out to ask for your support.

We need to keep up this momentum heading into the rest of this summer. Will you chip in just $5 today to help us keep moving forward?

Thank you for all that you do.

In service,

Pete Visclosky

Member of Congress

Friends,

The month of July has been full of hard work and great results for Pete and his team. Here are just a few of the things they have been working on over this past month:

Last week, Pete stood with striking workers at the Regal Beloit plant in Valparaiso. Union workers are fighting for good wages and affordable health insurance, which every worker - here in Indiana and across the country - has a right to.

Pete spoke out against the President’s inappropriate, inflammatory rhetoric aimed at women of color who serve in Congress. If you have yet to sign our petition, add your name here to join Pete and stand up for decency and respect.

In Washington, Pete voted to pass significant pieces of legislation that would help benefit every worker -- including a bill to raise the minimum wage to $15.

Team Visclosky participated in multiple celebrations over the Fourth of July -- we walked with Pete and his supporters in three parades to celebrate our nation’s birthday.

The Congressman spoke at an immigration swearing-in ceremony in Hammond and welcomed over 50 new citizens from countries around the world to the United States.

Team, these results and events would never have been possible without your help. And Pete’s future progress all depends on your support. Will you chip in just $5 now to help us continue the momentum? >>

Thank you for being a part of this team,

-- Team Visclosky
