City Council Meeting June 27, 2023
The City Council is meeting on June 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Hurst City Hall. Agendas are posted the Friday before each meeting by 4 p.m.
Now Hiring Water Utilities Technicians!
Join Team Hurst! We are currently hiring Water Utilities Technicians for $20 an hour after a six-month probation period. Hurst employees receive rich benefits for employees and their families to enjoy! These positions inspect, maintain, and repair all facets of the water distribution infrastructure, such as water mains, water meters, and water services. They also assist contractors working on behalf of the City of Hurst.
There are many opportunities for advancement when joining our Water Utilities Division. It's an excellent career path with continuous training and support from our leadership team. There's no need for a college degree, just a desire to work alongside a great team to serve our community that we all get to enjoy!
Hurst Marketing and Communication Receives State Awards
The City of Hurst's Marketing and Communication Division brought home two prestigious Awards of Honor this month from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers (TAMIO) Conference in Arlington, TX!
The TAMI Awards is the leading recognition program in Texas, honoring excellence for municipal communication strategies. These two awards recognize the division for its work on communicating the 2022 budget to residents through video and the Northeast Fire Department Association Mass Casualty Incident Training last year through photography.

Hurst Stars and Stripes is Monday, July 3
The Annual City of Hurst Stars & Stripes event is Monday, July 3, at Hurst Community Park. Come out to enjoy live music, food trucks, and a beautiful fireworks show! FREE shuttles are available from designated parking at North East Mall.

Independence Day Holiday Closure July 4, 2023
Non-emergency city facilities are closed on July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday.
Chisholm Aquatics Center is open from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
