Q: What is Blue Senate?

Blue Senate is an organization founded by Democratic Senator Jeff Merkley to help elect Battleground Senate candidates in the nation’s most important and consequential elections.

With the help of small-dollar, grassroots supporters like you, we flipped the Senate in 2020, expanded our majority in 2022, and are now working tirelessly to defend our majority in 2024.

Q: What makes Blue Senate different from other political organizations?

Blue Senate is a different kind of PAC. Unlike super PACs and dark-money groups, Blue Senate raises grassroots dollars to directly boost the most vulnerable Democratic campaigns.

This is especially helpful for lesser-known candidates who don’t have the name recognition or fundraising networks as their wealthy GOP opponents. But they can still win if they receive the resources they need—and we’ve proven this time and time again in both 2020 and 2022.

Q: So then, which races are Blue Senate targeting in 2024?

We thought you’d never ask, folks.

Right now, we’re working tirelessly to re-elect Senators Jon Tester in Montana, Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin, Jacky Rosen in Nevada, Sherrod Brown in Ohio, and Bob Casey in Pennsylvania.

All five of these loyal Democrats are running in either red-leaning or toss-up swing states in 2024. And if Republicans flip just two of these seats, Democrats will lose our Senate majority and the GOP will be able to enact their far-right, extremist agenda on the American people.

Q: Why does it matter if I help? Is my contribution really that important?

Blue Senate is powered by folks chipping in whatever they can, whenever they can. A single $5, $10 or even $25 contribution may not seem like a lot, but when thousands of people come together to give what they can, it really adds up to something extraordinary.

Republicans have a wealth of GOP dark-money groups and the entire MAGA money machine at their disposal. And Mitch McConnell will use every last dollar he has to re-take Senate control.
