Friend — Across the country we’re seeing attacks on our freedom to move, to learn, to express ourselves, and ultimately to live. Republican lawmakers are using fear and hate to divide us and pit us against one another.
So earlier this month, members of UWDA’s Squad of volunteers, immigrant youth and allies came together to hold their elected officials accountable to create an inclusive and welcoming future for all. 🤝
Squad volunteers held events in states like Arizona, California, Connecticut and Ohio to reject laws that harm and exclude people, and demand our elected officials create policies that allow people to live in safety and dignity.
UWDA’s Squad leaders dropped a letter of demands to Republican Rep. Ken Calvert’s office in California 📩, hosted a rally to unapologetically declare that young people, immigrants, LGBTQ people are here to stay in Ohio 📣, and led a total of 10 actions across the country 🗣️.
We understand that not everyone is in a position to organize events in their communities and join UWDA’s Squad for in-person actions — but there’s more than one way to support our cause and everybody plays a different role in the movement.
One of the ways you can make a difference today is by making a donation to help UWDA grow our Squad of volunteers. Will you chip in $10 today to help UWDA lead more actions around the country that uplift pro-immigrant policies?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Whether you’re leading actions in your community, attending rallies and events that highlight our demands, signing petitions to advance pro-immigrant causes, or donating to help our movement grow, we’re grateful to have you on this team.
Alex, United We Dream Action
Multiply your impact by setting up monthly donations so we can keep up the fight for permanent protections for immigrant communities!
