George Santos is not an anomaly.

He is the result of the MAGA wave that swept races up and down the ballot
— including right here in NY-03. 

Case in point: Vickie Paladino, an extreme MAGA candidate who flipped a
New York City Council district from blue to red in 2021. She endorsed
George Santos. She hugged and embraced him. And now she is up for
re-election in a city council race this year. I have been making phone
calls to encourage people to vote and showing up to rallies in Queens
because winning this race is critical to ending the MAGA madness.

You see, a lot of people do not realize that NY-03 is a swing district.
And if we can defeat MAGA extremists like Vickie in local races this year,
it will show everyone that we have the potential and the momentum to flip
NY-03 back to blue next year.

But if we are not engaged, and if we allow MAGA Republicans like Vickie to
coast to re-election with ease, it will be that much harder to convince
folks that we can flip this district and defeat Santos next November.
