Hey there,

On the night of the New Hampshire primary, I was not paying attention to what Donald Trump was saying.

I was watching my boss, Pete, take the stage to chants of “President Pete! President Pete!” while sitting next to my friend who became a citizen of the United States earlier that day. It was a magical night of democracy and citizen participation.

And after that I watched the results come in. Pete came in second, just a few thousand votes behind Bernie Sanders -- a sitting Senator of a neighboring state, who won the New Hampshire primary just four years ago by 22 points.

So it took me a few days, but I just saw what Donald Trump Tweeted on primary night:

In Iowa and in New Hampshire, we demonstrated that we’re continuing to build a coalition -- across urban, suburban, and rural areas, and with Democrats, Independents, and Republicans -- that can defeat him in November. And it’s growing. Looks like we got Trump’s attention, and he seems nervous.

As Pete said, we’re building the coalition no one saw coming, and this president won’t either.

This race is going to go on for a while. We can win, but only if we can keep our fundraising up. We really need you with us right now. Can you please make a donation to help us keep up the momentum from Iowa and New Hampshire as we head into Nevada? [[link removed]]

Thanks,

Hari
