I wanted to personally reach out to let you know: I am running to be Pennsylvania’s next Attorney General.
As I start by asking you — someone who knows how important this race is — to split a donation between The Collective PAC and my campaign today with a $10 donation, here’s what you should know about me:

I believe in fighting for the underdog. I have spent my career standing up to the powerful and winning on behalf of people without money, connections, or power.

I know how to get big things done. As the chief public defender in Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties, I oversaw more than 500 people and a budget of $50 million. I instituted real reforms and made a difference in our communities.

I was raised in a proud union household. My dad was a union laborer and my mom was a parole officer. I understand the power of strong unions in fighting on behalf of hardworking families.

I want a more balanced system of justice for all. Public safety is not black or white, blue or red, or police versus the community — it’s all of us working together, paving the way for a safer society.

I’m no stranger to firsts. I was the first in my family to graduate college and the first African American woman to run the nation’s fourth largest public defender’s office. Now, I am the only woman and only African American running for Attorney General — when elected, I’ll be another first. But most importantly, I am committed to not being a last.
But, John, I’m not running for this office because I check a list of ideological boxes. I’m running for this office to protect Pennsylvania families — that means yours.
As Attorney General, I won’t let big pharmaceutical companies gouge seniors. I won’t let insurance companies unjustly deny coverage. I won’t let extremists push their hate in our communities. I’m going to put a stop to violent actors holding neighborhoods hostage.
