Hi John, it’s Lyzz.
People across the Commonwealth voted in the Virginia Primary on Tuesday. If you missed the results, I have bad news, good news, and more good news to share.
First, the bad. All ten of Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin’s endorsed candidates won their primary elections. Younkgin’s PAC has already raised a whopping $2.7 million in the first quarter of 2023 alone. That’s the type of cash our candidates will be up against this fall.
But here’s the good news. Analysis shows that abortion is still a dominating issue for Democrats — and with abortion rights at stake in Virginia, voters showed up to support pro-abortion candidates across the state on Tuesday.
Now here’s the additional good news. For the fourth year, Sister District is making significant investments in voter outreach and direct, tangible support for progressive, all-star candidates who will protect abortion access in Virginia. Plus, we’re gearing up to make even more endorsements.
John, as a grassroots-powered organization, we’re counting on your continued support to keep making an outsized impact in consequential elections.
With election season officially underway in Virginia, can you chip in $15 to help us ramp up our work and fuel decisive victories for Sister District candidates on Election Day?
