Gun violence is now the leading cause of death for children and teens in this country – an epidemic that has taken a terrible toll on our communities.
Washington has made great strides in tackling our nation’s gun violence epidemic, and as governor, I’m committed to continuing this legacy.
Many of my friends own guns — it’s a part of rural life in Washington. But, they also support commonsense laws because they save lives.
We need leaders who will tackle our biggest problems by bringing us together around our shared values. I’m committed to doing just that – reaching out, finding common ground, and ensuring our families and communities are not only safe, but also thrive.
