[1]NNU - Medicare for All!
This is
what we mean when we say our health care system is corrupt:

According to CNBC, the pharmaceutical industry’s largest lobbying group is
suing the Biden administration over Medicare's ability to slash prices for
certain drugs under the Inflation Reduction Act.^1
Rather than negotiate prices on just 10 drugs, which would save taxpayers
and seniors billions of dollars, PhRMA is instead spending its resources
on a legal battle in order to preserve its profits.
For decades, insurance and pharma behemoths have bled working families dry
in the endless pursuit of profit. And they maintain that system by
bankrolling elected officials’ campaigns with hundreds of millions of
dollars every election cycle.
That's why we launched the Patients Over Profits campaign to call on our
elected officials and candidates to reject contributions over $200 from
executives, lobbyists, and PACs affiliated with the hospital, insurance,
and pharma industries.
So far, over 100 elected officials and candidates have signed our Patients
Over Profits pledge, and now we're building toward our next 100 signers!

Elected officials and candidates across the country have signed our pledge
thanks to our incredible volunteers who did outreach, research, and
community building to grow this campaign. This pledge is driven by
everyday people in their communities speaking out, and it adds up to make
a huge impact.
Getting corporate health care money out of politics is key to passing
Medicare for All, and there's a role for everyone in this fight. [ [link removed] ]Will
you sign our interest form now to learn about how you can get involved in
the campaign?
