I hope you’re enjoying our first few official days of summer! As you may have heard, this weekend the Twin Cities will celebrate Pride, and there are several great events for the family right here in Eden Prairie.

The Eden Prairie Community Center is hosting Party for Pride in celebration and support of our LGBTQIA+ community, and everyone’s invited! They will be offering free fitness classes, activities, giveaways, prize drawings and a dance party. Come dressed to move in your loudest and proudest pride gear! All ages are welcome.
Also coming up this weekend is the 2023 community drop off day. Get rid of unwanted items that can't be disposed of in your trash or recycling bin this Saturday at Hennepin Technical College. You can dispose of trash, construction debris, bikes and more. Please note that appliances and electronics will not be accepted, and you must show a valid ID or other proof of Eden Prairie residency.
Last week, I was honored to attend the White House State Legislative Convening on Reproductive Rights. The White House hosted a total of 83 state legislators hailing from 41 states to discuss work done and work needed to protect reproductive healthcare across the country. Earlier this session, we made Minnesota a safe haven for all in need of reproductive healthcare, and I was incredibly honored to be selected to participate in this panel alongside some of the strongest state leaders in our nation. The work we did this session for reproductive rights here in Minnesota was monumental, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share our work on a national stage and help other states follow with their own legislation.
