This isn’t an update we wanted to give, but it’s important. Right now,
we’re about $11,000 away from reaching our $30K online fundraising goal
for June.

These goals are part of a complete plan to power our campaign this year,
next year, and all the way to Election Day. We have to reach everyone in
order to sustainably build a people-powered movement.

Missing our goals means we have to cut back — and we don’t want to have to
make the hard decision of deciding which critical aspect of our campaign
we have to cut back. Some other members of Congress would take money from
corporate PACs to reach fundraising goals — but Jamaal doesn’t work for
corporate interests. He’ll always work for us,

We’re coming up on this quarter’s FEC public fundraising deadline. After
June 30, everyone will be able to see how much we’ve raised — including
the political press and our potential opponents. With the attacks Jamaal
has been facing from the far right, we have to show that our movement is
nevertheless stronger than ever.

The only way we’ll be able to close the gap is with the help of our
grassroots community. Every contribution ensures we have the resources to
