The founding fathers put the power of oversight in the hands of Congress. They had no way of anticipating a morally bankrupt hypocrite like Congressman Jim Jordan would ever hold the reigns of power through Chairmanship of the Judiciary Committee. So far with everything at his disposal, he has used his power to weaponize our government and hinder the Trump trials.
The Trump administration was fraught with mismanagement, cronyism and investigations due to the general corruption and misconduct of the administration. In the reality of alternative facts, it has been the goal of Republicans to fabricate something equal to that environment as a cynical ploy. Jim Jordan uses his powers within the Committee to forward this project. Even going so far as to put his highly partisan and factually suspect tweets on the front page of the Judiciary Committee’s website. This could make Rupert Murdock blush.
This Congress alone, Jordan has entirely fabricated investigations and hidden the details of those from his Democrat counterparts on the Committee. His ‘Select Committee Against the Weaponization of The Federal Government’ functions like an absolute satire of its own name.
With Jim’s staunch and continued support for Trump we can see what will be in store for investigators once Jordan concocts a plan to defend the indefensible. The investigators can look forward to continued harassment, subpoenas and potentially ways to halt the investigation all together. If tools for obstruction exist, Jordan will no doubt attempt to use them against justice itself.
