Ron DeSantis was just in California earlier this week, fundraising for his 2024 presidential campaign:

DeSantis attacked California saying that our “leftist government is destroying that state.”

While DeSantis evokes fear and division, Rob Bonta is fighting to protect Californians’ basic rights. When DeSantis attacked the LGBTQ+ community in Florida, Rob filed an opposition with other Attorneys General against Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law. When DeSantis exploited vulnerable asylum seekers, Rob welcome them to California and stood up for their dignity and rights.

We need to counter Ron DeSantis’ MAGA extremism by showing that hate and division have no place here in California.
