INSIDE: Baby Bonds, Camp Prosperity & other opportunities to join the movement! No images? Click here You may have already heard the news, John. I've been named Interim President and CEO at Prosperity Now. After three years in my role as Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer, I am honored to serve in this new capacity and to work alongside you and our great team to carry our important work forward. I'm excited to continue to learn and grow with our partners as we work together to create an economy that is just, fair, and works for everyone. It’s an inspiring and busy time for Prosperity Now and the movement for racial economic justice. Just last week, many of you joined us, Senator Cory Booker, and Representative Ayanna Pressley on Capitol Hill to help build support for Baby Bonds, a promising policy solution that can help us close the racial wealth divide for good. Early next month, we’ll kick off the sixth year of our advocacy boot camp, Camp Prosperity, equipping yet another generation to change the tides of advocacy and advance racial economic justice. John, together we can move the needle on racial equity. I’m glad you’re here with us. As we enter our organization’s next chapter, I look forward to keeping you updated on the CEO search and other progress. And, I hope to hear from you too. In Solidarity, Cherie Collins Sims, PhD Baby Bonds Are About Investing in America 👶Last week, Prosperity Now staff and partners grabbed our brand new yellow “Baby Bonds” hats and made our way down to Capitol Hill for our event, “For Every Kid’s Future: Investing Today in Baby Bonds.” Joined by Senator Cory Booker and Representative Ayanna Pressley, we filled up rooms 202 and 203 of the Capitol Visitor Center and talked about a future where every child has the resources they need to graduate college without debt, buy a home without worry, and to achieve their full potential without the obstacles of structural racism and wealth inequality—the future we could create with Baby Bonds.
