Traveling across Indiana over the past two years, I often get asked about my philosophy on education. Here’s what I tell people: parents should parent and teachers should teach.

Instead of allowing extreme ideologies into the classrooms, we should get back to the basics of educating our kids … not indoctrinating them.

As Governor, we are going to put parents back in charge of their children’s education.
