John –
Tomorrow is the second anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. It’s a heartbreaking reminder that 17 people were senselessly murdered in a massacre that could have been prevented had stronger gun laws been in place.
When the students of MSD woke up that February morning, they got ready for school like any other day. They said bye to parents, caught the school bus, went to class, and chatted with friends during lunch. But at 2:19 p.m., the teenage gunman – who never should have had access to a firearm, let alone an AR-15-style assault weapon – changed their lives forever.
After the Parkland shooting, we saw millions of young people march, taking civic action into their own hands – and in their first year, they helped pass 67 new gun safety laws in 27 states. We can take action and create change, but only if we commit to it, John.
Right now, I’m asking you to donate to Brady today so that we can continue to fight to make schools, homes, and communities the safe places they should be. We need to raise $10,000 before midnight tomorrow to ensure we can continue the fight for gun violence prevention and save lives. Can I count on you to give $5 or more to Brady right now?

Hope can be contagious and, if we plan on ending school shootings, we need everyone to pitch in. I know you’ll be fighting with us for change, John.
