John,
Access to higher education has more to do with your zip code than your grades or goals.
Today in the U.S., 43 million people are trapped under the burden of student loans, further entrenching systemic racism and the cycle of poverty. Student loans widen the racial wealth gap and disproportionately harm Black women.
We shouldn’t be punishing people for seeking higher education. We should be rethinking education in the U.S., ensuring access to everyone -- no matter your race, gender, zip code, or income.
That’s why Congresswoman Cori Bush is an original co-sponsor of the College for All Act.
This critical bill, introduced by Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Sen. Bernie Sanders, would:
-
Provide free tuition at public colleges and universities for families with incomes under $125,000 a year
-
Double the maximum Pell Grant amount
-
Invest in historically Black colleges and universities, as well as other schools serving marginalized communities
To cover these investments, the College for All Act is fully funded by taxing reckless Wall Street speculation.
Add your name now to become a grassroots co-sponsor of the College for All Act. Together, we can make a bold investment in future generations and allow students to pursue their educational and career goals without worrying about the financial burdens of college.

There are still too many barriers preventing students from accessing college, including the high cost of tuition, fees, and textbooks. Students from low-income backgrounds struggle to balance the costs of college with the need to work to support themselves and their families.
Cori has lived experiences with the impact of student loans, which is why she understands how urgently we must address the education debt crisis and help more people graduate debt-free.
Join Congresswoman Cori Bush and our allies across the country. Add your name to become a grassroots co-sponsor of the College for All Act today!
Thank you for working toward a future that includes all of us, not just the wealthy few.
