John,

Pennsylvania is the only mid-Atlantic state still stuck at the federal minimum wage of $7.25/hour. That could be about to change.

On Tuesday, I was honored to witness the PA House’s bipartisan passage of a minimum wage bill more than 13 years in the making.

House Bill 1500 sets PA’s minimum wage at $15 by 2026 and permanently ties it to inflation moving forward. While we have a long way left to go, this will help hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians, including the children of wage workers. Now we work to ensure the Republican-led Senate does the right thing by working families.

I applaud this long overdue first step towards establishing a living wage in Pennsylvania — one which only passed thanks to the one-seat State House majority we’ve fought so hard to win and keep. Will you chip in $10 today to help us continue expanding the electorate and keep up our momentum to winning One Fair Wage in the Commonwealth?
