For weeks now, we've all been wondering who in their right mind would put up half a million dollars to keep George Santos out of jail. Now we know.

A few minutes ago, a federal judge in Central Islip unsealed the names of Santos's benefactors; his father, Gercino dos Santos Jr., and his aunt, Elma Santos Preven, guaranteed his bail. 

But family or not, a sitting member of Congress accepting hundreds of thousands of dollars raises some serious ethical flags.

The big takeaway here isn't that George Santos is a morally bankrupt con man who can't be trusted to guard an empty milk carton; we've known that for a while. It's that despite his total contemptfor the people and laws of this country, he's still able to convince people to support him.

We can't take anything for granted; our campaign is already thousands strong, but we need to keep building this movement to make sure we take this seat back from George Santos and his shady backers. Chip in now to keep up the pressure!
