Action Alert: Call the Capitol now to stop Sacramento’s takeover of your elected property tax board
Some Sacramento politicians are trying to kill off California’s elected tax board, which oversees property tax administration and answers to the voters.
These politicians have introduced ACA 11, a constitutional amendment that would abolish the elected Board of Equalization and transfer its responsibilities to unelected bureaucrats in the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration.
On June 26, the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee will hold a hearing on ACA 11. It’s very important that the members of the committee hear from taxpayers that we are very strongly opposed to abolishing our elected tax board.
If you can, please call the members of the committee, especially if you live in their district, to ask them to vote NO on ACA 11:
Members of the Assembly Revenue and Tax Committee:
Jacqui Irwin (Committee Chair)

Greg Wallis (Vice Chair)

You can also call your own representatives in the Legislature to urge them to oppose ACA 11. You can look up their names and contact information at findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
Jon Coupal
P.S. The Board of Equalization has many resources to help taxpayers, including a Taxpayers’ Rights Advocate Office. You can learn more about the Board of Equalization at boe.ca.gov. Thank you for getting the word out to vote NO on ACA 11 to save our elected tax board!
