HEALTH INSURANCE: Covering preventive care
In May, the Minnesota Legislature passed a law to ensure health insurance covers preventive care, from annual physicals to screenings for cancer, for Minnesotans with health plans regulated by the Commerce.? Keeping preventive care covered by health insurance helps keep families healthy and saves families money.

Climate change is making summer storms more frequent and more severe. This recent article in the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead [ [link removed] ] featured Commerce?s advice to Minnesota homeowners about reviewing their insurance coverage for hail and water damage.
Commerce?s Disaster Information Center [ [link removed] ]?helps you understand how to work with your insurer to settle a claim and to make informed insurance decisions after a flood or storm damages your home, auto, or property.

REAL ESTATE: Training for licensed professionals to help eliminate inequities
Nearly 28,000 real estate agents and brokers licensed through the Minnesota Department of Commerce have completed new requirements for continuing education training to help eliminate racial inequities in homebuying.
?We know that some past government practices had the effect of institutionalizing racism in real estate,? Arnold said. ?Commerce is committed to reducing economic barriers and racial disparities for all Minnesotans when they are trying to buy or sell a home.?
